Manila American Cemetery - Philippines

While exploring Manilla, I was very surprised to see a 152 acre, U.S. cemetery right in the middle of the city. There's a total of 17,206 graves, which is the largest number of graves of any cemetery for U.S. personnel killed during World War II.

It also has soldiers from the Philippines and other allied nations buried here.

The headstones are made of marble which are aligned in eleven plots forming a circular pattern.
